"Morning Glory"

We tragically lost Glory's Legacy, our double registered white JC/paint colt, last summer as a two year old, but we had had him in with Amber in June as she is exceptional for teaching colts how to be stallions and has produced two very nice foals for us already. Although we watched them together for hours at a time and never saw a successful cover (he kept mounting her shoulder), he obviously did the deed as she began bagging up in late April and while she was always an easy keeper ballooned in the last two months. We didn’t think he had figured it out as he seemed completely clueless with the second mare we had him in with, so we never had her checked. Plus, she seemed to cycle normally and was teasing the boys across the fence throughout her whole pregnancy.

Of course, we were thrilled when we discovered that she was in foal, and were even more thrilled when she foaled early the morning of May 11, 2011.
