Artrageous (aka Arty-Moose or Moose Man) Exceptional Disposition-Amazing Athlete!
Artrageous with part of his herd (From left to right: Rox, Rebuy, Cynthia's Field and Art) April 12, 2002 Jockey Club Registered Bay minimal sabino Thoroughbred Stallion (white lower lip, white in his tail, scattered white hairs throughout coat) 16.3 hands Blue blood of the racing world! Artrageous is by the Eclipse award champion (1999) and track record setting sprinter Artax out of the accomplished Alysheba mare Treize. Trieze is the dam of Brancusi, who was 2nd in the Bluegrass Stakes (G1) before running in the Kentucky Derby in 2003. His granddam, Treizieme, was an outstanding turf mare winning G1 turf races in France and produced stakes winning foals herself. "Arty" has two famous sabino stallions in his pedigree as well: Marquetry (his grandsire on his sire's side) who won over 2.8 million on the track and The Minstrel (his great grandsire on his dam's side) who won over half a million on the track. Believe it or not, "Arty" was in danger of going to an auction with the possibility of being sold to slaughter after being improperly cared for at the track. We'd like to thank Elizabeth Wood of Bits & Bytes Farm for putting the word out on this boy and helping us bring him home. We just love this stallion and cannot say enough about him. He has an excellent disposition and is pastured with his "harem" of mares. Artrageous' eventing career has begun! Click on News for more info... Artrageous' book is open now! Mare care available. 2007-2008 Stud fee: $750, Booking fee: $250 Click to see how Arty has progressed Video 1 of Artrageous at liberty Video 2 of Artrageous at liberty Video of Artrageous doing Training and Prelim jumps at the Phillip Dutton clinic More Cross country at Phillip Dutton Clinic The Phillip Dutton cross country clinic videos above are courtesy of Amanda Quillin of Sun Over Shine Farm.
